Applicant tracking systems

A machine reads
your CV before
a person does.

CV Optimium parses your CV exactly the way an applicant tracking system does, names every field that gets dropped, and rewrites it so nothing is lost on the way to a recruiter.

Three steps, in order

Upload, match, export.

The order matters: we have to know what the parser loses before we can judge how well you match the job.

  1. 01

Upload the CV you actually send

PDF or DOCX. We extract the text the way a parser does, so the columns, tables, and header graphics that hide your details show up as missing fields rather than as design.

  2. 02

    Paste the job description

You get a match score, every requirement you have not evidenced named in plain terms, and the line in your CV where each fix belongs.

  3. 03

Export a version that survives the parser

One clean document per country you are applying to, with local conventions applied. PDF to send, plain text for paste-in forms, JSON for anything else.

What you get back

Not a rewrite you have to trust blindly.

Every change is shown, named, and attributable to something in the job description. You stay the author.

Every field, accounted for

A line-by-line report of what the parser extracted and what it never saw. This is the part most CV tools skip, and it is the only part that explains a silent rejection.

Questions

Asked before signing up.

Does this invent experience I do not have?

No. It reorganises and rewords what is already in your CV, and it tells you which job requirements you have not evidenced so you can decide what to add. Anything it cannot find in your document, it reports as a gap rather than filling in.

Why would an ATS drop a field I can plainly see?

Parsers read the document structure, not the rendering. Text inside an image, a two-column table, a text box, or an unusual date format often arrives as an empty field or one run-on string. Your eye repairs that; the parser does not.

What does the match score measure?

How much of the job description your CV actually evidences: required skills, tools, seniority signals, and domain terms, weighted by how prominently the posting mentions each one. It is a coverage measure, not a prediction of whether you get the interview.

Can I keep my own layout?

For the version you send to a human, yes. For the version an ATS reads, the layout is the problem, so exports use a single-column structure. You get both.

What happens to my CV after I upload it?

It is stored encrypted against your account so you can come back to it, and it is never shared or used to train anything. Delete a workspace and the document goes with it.

Which file types work?

PDF and DOCX for upload. Exports come out as PDF, plain text, and structured JSON. Scanned PDFs go through OCR first.
